A Cooperation and Evaluation Meeting was organized by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) in the context of social contribution policy with the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, faculty members of the Faculty of Education, school principals and teachers from the Provincial Directorate of National Education attended the meeting held at Avşar Han Cinema Hall. The ceremony started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.

In the program, which continued with opening speeches, Deputy Provincial Director of National Education Salim Oğuz spoke first. In his speech, Oğuz stated, “With the cooperation protocol between MAKÜ and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, it is aimed to carry out the work in a planned and coordinated manner to develop and expand educational services. This cooperation between our university and our institution represents a step that will open new horizons in the field of education and we fully believe that it will increase the quality of education for our students and the society in general. With the knowledge and experience of MAKÜ, the opportunity to offer a wider range of education to our students will arise. I thank all our teachers and the MAKÜ administration for participating in this important meeting.”

Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Firdevs Savi Çakar said, “As the Faculty of Education, we have a very strong organic connection directly with the National Education Institution. Our relations always continue. We think that today's meeting is extremely important to further develop these relations and to evaluate what can be done in different dimensions. I thank all my colleagues, school administrations, and our professors who are accompanying us here today.”
MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, who started his speech by saying, “We are together in the program we organized within the framework of our university's social contribution mission. Expressing my pleasure in hosting you here, I welcome you all and extend my respects,” included the following words in his speech: “We are in close relationship with the Provincial Directorate of National Education in both pedagogical formation training and other education-related cooperation works with our university's Faculty of Education. We want to take this further. Since there is a new administration both in our university and in our national education directorate, we gathered here today to talk about what we can do together to make a good start and to fill the content of our slogan from universal knowledge to social contribution, which we emphasize. We want to produce more value for the society we live in with the richness and academic capacity of our university. In this context, we have a career development system that we have been working on for many years, which we will talk about here today. We will explain this system to you. The successes our children achieve in their professional and university preferences are of vital importance to us. Therefore, we have a strong career system that can guide their choices. If we can implement this career system and offer it to your and the students' service, we will be very happy. In this system, students who answer about 150 questions can see which professions they are suitable for and in which field they have competencies. Thus, we have a better chance to guide our youth. Apart from this, we want to design a cooperation model that will fill the content of our understanding of social contribution together. In this model, especially in terms of the professional development of teachers, we think that there are many things we can do together to transform universal knowledge into social contribution and to offer universal knowledge to your service. As the university rector, I would like to state that we can respond to any request from you. We want to develop joint working models to strengthen these cooperations. We are ready for cooperation. On this occasion, I thank you all individually.”

Later, a presentation was made by Rector Advisor Lecturer Dr. Veysel Dal about the Career Development Application and Research Center. After the presentation, the program ended with lunch and a tour of the İstiklal Campus.
